Da Prez

It was funny watching the State of the Union last night (or whatever you want to call it when the President of the United States speaks to the nation) with Erin. She is definitely NOT a Dubaya guy! We ended up just making fun of him the entire time. She was curious as to his wardrobe which I said was picked to make him look more “accessible” to the American public. I was curious as to the clock behind him which read “6:35″ at the end of the speech when it was 9:25, she said the clock was broken. I think we heard most everything but what he had to say. Then I read the papers today… I can’t believe we have this idiot in charge! I mean, this really goes to show you just how weak of a candidate John Kerry was! I know all you hardcore Democrats will bristle at that, but c’mon now… I’ve said time and time again that Clinton was one of the best presidents (along with Reagan) in my lifetime, so I’m clearly not a party-guy, but still: Why couldn’t the Dems get their shit together and find someone who was GOOD rather than someone who could afford it? After the mess in Iraq, Bush still got re-elected. That means there are a lot of people who really had zero faith in John Kerry doing any better. Remember that… I said “John Kerry” NOT “Democrats.” Unfortunately this next election won’t be about sending a message, it will be about electing a leader. My money rests on the Democratic candidate as the Republicans have a couple of black eyes with the Retarded Texan in the White House right now.

So what can Bush do? Everything! He’s the president! How about he looks into why the city of New Orleans skimped out on the levee building? How about he looks into why the gasoline prices went up 60 cents in the state of Delaware when 70 percent of our gas comes from ocean tankers and NOT the Lousiana refineries as they are lying telling us? How about he closes up shop in the Mid-East and brings our troops home? There is so much he could be doing but doesn’t want to because of the kick-backs and the sheer ignorance he possesses. Unfortunately we have to see that right now Bush doesn’t have to do anything. He’s on cruise-control for another 3 years unless the U.S. Congress decides to impeach him for crimes against the citizens of the U.S. He’s got no re-election to worry about, he’s already done 2 things his daddy didn’t (get Saddam & get re-elected), and he’s made his billions off the oil gouging his buddies are responsible for. I always used to say that the easiest job for the most pay was backing up Indianapolis Colt’s quarterback Peyton Manning because you might take 6 snaps a year (mostly mop-up). Now I see the easiest job is Dubaya’s job: He’s raping the country and we can’t do a damn thing about it.

  1. “How about he looks into why the city of New Orleans skimped out on the levee building?”

-Oh it wasn’t the city, it was him and his administration. The DNR (Department of Natural Resources) has been asking for money to rebuild the wetlands area surrounding the city since the late 90′s. This rebuilding would have also improved the levee’s to protect against a cat. 5 hurricane. The Bush administration has consistantly refused them money.
I’ll see if I can find the article.

  3. I think it is sad the way that government has become so polarized. The Republicans have the correct ideas. But, so do the Democrats. Both parties are fracked up on a lot of issues.

If it is a Democratic idea, the Republicans hate it. If it is a Republican idea, the Democrats hate.

Look guys. I don’t care who comes up with the idea. Play nice and work together for a change.

Let’s face it. People are flawed. We are going to make mistakes. It has gotten to the point where more emphasis is placed on attacking the mistake and placing blame than from learning from it. Mistakes cannot be acknowledge because that is a sign of weakness. Whatever happened to saying, “Look. I made a mistake. I am sorry. Here is how I think we can resolve this. Whatta think?”

Nah. That’s to easy. It is a good think the rest of the life doesn’t work that way.

Our country was founded as a democracy instead of a monarchy in order to keep tyrants from screwing stuff up. It seems to me we know have two tyrants. The Democrats and the Republicans.

You want to place blame? Place it on both parties. While you are at it, place blame on the American public for going along with this.
